SUMMER RECAP

It’s been a long time I didn’t do an update here, so much has been happening between coming back to Accra in September and the time spent in Europe in summer.

I don’t even know where to start honestly, maybe going step by step will help:

We’ve decided to come back to Germany for the summer since there’s always a lot of things happening during that time. The goal was to be able to take some of the glass beads samples (the ones i teased in my last blog post)... unfortunately Ghana time... didn’t really make that happen, iykyk... but there were enough other things to do honestly.

We were preparing for an eventful June and July. Starting with the amazing lookbook shoot we did with our friend Cami (@camiruizlora). It’s incredible how much leveling up can happen just by having pictures that are so on point and aligned with what the brand stands for. They speak for themselves.

With that done, we went to Paris for Fashion Week. We met amazing people and collected an insane amount of inspiration... and also just had a lot of fun. Oh! and we styled Badchieff for Louis Vouitton runway show. I loved how this one of one silver bow looked in his hair!

Coming back from Paris, we jumped right into Berlin Fashion Week, where we were invited to participate in the nommostore pop-up by Injewels. It went really well and thanks to Stella, the owner, we got in touch with Adebayo the designer of Nigerian brand Orange Culture, who had his Berlin debut show. I have been following the brand for a long time and couldn’t believe that we had the chance to show our pieces on their runway. It was an amazing experience, the team are so incredibly nice, and our pieces were matching so well with their breathtaking designs.

I was very excited and so incredibly thankful for this connection and had a feeling that this wouldn’t be the last time we will work together.

The summer felt like a dream - time didn't exsist... it's those moments where it feels so slow and so fast at the same time. But here we are - it's already August and we're slowly packing our suitcases to go back home to Ghana...
